In fact, it’s possible to play on a different course every day for two months on the Costa del Sol. With that in mind here’s a quick summary to help you find the best courses on offer on the eastern side of Marbella. Santa Maria Golf and Country Club, Elviria, Marbella East This hilly and panoramic holiday track is popular, pleasant and accessible, while the par 3s excel. Pretty clubhouse set within a lovely historic finca. Santa Clara Golf Club, Marbella East A popular resort course in two loops of nine with minimal rough, good bunkering, some water carries, one steep climb and a good collection of short holes.The facilities are elegant and the setting appealing.Golf course Marbella Golf Country Club, Marbella East The best ‘mountain defile’ course on the Costa del Sol, with some spectacular tee shots, good bunkering, excellent green sites, commanding views and testing water – as well as a fine restaurant and panoramicterraces. Rio Real Golf, Marbella East Marbella’s oldest course and one of its most attractive. A compact layout, often lined with majestic palms, with testing, slightly raised, amply bunkered green sites. The setting is inspiring! Greenlife Golf Club, Marbella East A 9-hole sometimes challenging par 3 course with a watery start, overlooked by its excellent gourmet restaurant, and with nearby floodlit range and practice facilities. A great course for a convenient short game followed by a drink overlooking the lake.
