Last week we took a trip down memory lane to recall the 1989 Costa del Sol visits of two international celebrities who had sadly just passed away, George Michael and Carrie Fisher. A third major figure with even closer links to the Coast also left us just before Christmas. Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt, who suffered a heart attack last summer and later said he would no longer be performing with the band (including their Starlite concert in Marbella) died from a severe infection after being admitted to a Marbella hospital.
