Another Year of Good News… and Excellent Prospects

Industry experts are still analysing the final figures for 2015 to gain a clear and concise picture of how the property market evolved but the general view remains positive. As we have noted before, there is already indisputable evidence that the worst of the crisis is now over, especially in such prime expatriate and Spanish holiday areas as the Costa del Sol, and cautious optimism prevails. If there is one thing everyone agrees on, it is that the damaging speculative years pre-2007 will never be repeated, at least not by sensible operators in the real estate sector (such as Villa Marbella Now). So, while we wait for the final statistics and reports, and appropriately studious scrutiny of their contents and significance, a preliminary look at some of the “good news” that concluded a reassuring 2015 and highlighted some of the reasons why 2016 should continue that trend… - Latest reports published by the BBVA bank’s property division predicted overall market stability and growth in specific segments during 2016, noting that all the key market metrics were already showing an improvement. - Spain might have suffered a “harsh economic decline” in recent years but, according to the Expat Explorer independent global survey, “With its bright blue skies and long coastline bordered by sandy beaches, Spain is still a popular expat destination. People from across the world flock to the vibrant Iberian Peninsula to enjoy an idyllic life. It’s a country of great contrasts – from the cosmopolitan cities of Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia to sleepy towns and villages high in the Andalucian Hills.” - A survey of expats in 64 countries by the InterNations website revealed that Spain ranked sixth overall in expats’ quality of life perception. - The 2015 Global AgeWatch Index ranked Spain third in the health domain, with life expectancy, healthy life expectancy and relative psychological wellbeing all above the regional averages. Spain also ranked high in the enabling environment domain, with older people’s satisfaction with safety and public transport also above the regional average. - “Whatever your views on the British housing market,” reported the Telegraph, “the biggest bargains are overseas.” According to the newspaper, new analysis points towards southern and eastern Europe as offering the cheapest property – including popular holiday home markets in Spain. - The New York Times included Málaga among its “52 Places to Go in 2016”, noting, “As home to touristy seaside cities like Marbella, the province of Málaga, part of the Andalucia region, is a popular beach destination. The eponymous capital city, however, is now a centre of culture.” Of course, after visiting the Costa del Sol many people decide to stay or buy a second home, and one of the most coveted areas is Nueva Andalucía in Marbella. The contemporary designer villa featured here is currently under construction and due for completion this summer – an excellent and exciting opportunity to live in an ultra-modern home with luxurious fittings, and all for the excellent price of €2,400,000. Then, to zip around town around in style, what better addition to the new garage than a Porsche Boxster, named “best sports car” at the annual What Car? awards held in London this week.   Exceptional Homes We appreciate your taking the time to read about this stunning property, but perhaps it is not exactly right for you?
